Integrated Motion On EtherNet/IP™ - Part 2 New products from Rockwell Automation - the first company to offer integrated motion on EtherNet/IP - allow you to use a single network architecture for complete machine control. Complementing the products we introduced last month: Precise servo control with embedded EtherNet/IP. The Kinetix® 6500 is the first high-performance servo drive to eliminate the need for a dedicated motion network. Simplified machine design. Machine builders can now configure, commission, program and maintain PowerFlex® 755 AC drives with integrated motion and Kinetix 6500 servo drives on EtherNet/IP using the same motion profiles and instruction sets. Configuration drawings make it quick and easy to understand the capabilities of integrated motion on EtherNet/IP, including performance, capacity and configuration. EtherNet/IP capacity tool calculates resources used by a proposed network to help in the initial layout of your EtherNet/IP network. Version 1.5 supports integrated motion on EtherNet/IP (Kinetix 6500 and PowerFlex 755 Servo), Compact GuardLogix®, Point Guard I/O™ and Kinetix 300. Your network can be more flexible and perform better. Embedded switch technology allows ControlLogix® controllers, I/O modules and communication modules to connect to a device-level ring (DLR) for high availability on EtherNet/IP without the need for additional configuration.

• Avoid the cost of increasing frame sizes. New MPL-A4560F servo motors extend the continuous torque capability of the 130mm frame size MP-Series low inertia motors from 10.2 N-m to 14.1 N-m.
